Happy Birthday Matt!!!

Please send gifts as I did not get Matt anything! I told him that he gets a rain check this year. We did celebrate by eating onion rings on Saturday night, the fish was pretty good too ;)

Matt has done a great job following my orders as I am planted on the couch the majority of time. He has made my dinners, done my laundry and even surprised me with a 32oz Diet Coke a time or two. Thanks Matt you are the BeSt -- Love You!

Gimpy!

--what a difference a week makes--

After wondering last week why in the world I chose to have surgery, I am feeling much better.

** After 2 days of puking from a reaction to the meds, Matt gets the husband of the year award!!

I told Matt several times before surgery that I was worried about the anesthesia. I wasn't afraid of it not working, I was afraid of what I was going to say/do during the recovery. 10 years ago when I had my gall bladder out, I was in the recovery room begging the nurses for me to talk to the surgeon. When they asked why I told them because I needed to know if I looked fat in surgery (umm...a little unsecure?) I also asked if they had saved my gall bladder for my friend Suzy. This time around I didn't say anything I just cried uncontrollably telling the nurses how much pain I was in... NICE! I don't even remember the pain but I do remember the crying and saying over and over "I know I am being loud, but it hurts so bad." I asked the doctor about it later and he said I was pretty emotional. Oh well, I am sure he's seen worse.

sUrGeRy!!

Part of my bee in my bonnetness is because I am finally taking care of this. After rescheduling surgery 3 different times I decided that I can wait no longer. I have come to the conclusion that there is just not a convenient time to be on crutches for 8 weeks!! I am the first to admit that I would win a contest for the ugliest feet. Flat feet just doesn't beautify anything but I thought I would share some lovely pictures of my foot so you can judge for yourself... so think of me tomorrow at 1:15pm when I go in for surgery :)

The lovely kankle. That is where the split tendon is that they are going to sew back up. My other foot really isn't this ugly.

I decided to have them take care of the ugly bump on top from a previous break from 15 years ago!

Another great view. I decided since I will be in a hard cast and my toes will be sticking out I should at least have cute toe nails :)

Bee in my Bonnet

I love it when I get in the throw away mode. I hate clutter and I hate junk. Matt and I spent the weekend de-junking with great success. Not only did we have a car load of stuff we filled our garbage can to the top that we don't have room for garbage this week. It feels so good to clean out closets and get rid of stuff. Hooray for DI!
