Enough Already!

I was feeling a bit foolish on Saturday when I remembered that I STILL had this hanging on my front door...

But then I woke up Sunday morning to this...

Gimpy!

Here we are a week later and Matt is still a gimp. The only change in his knee is that it has gotten super swollen. Yesterday the swelling FiNaLlY started going down. I did take a few pictures today but it really doesn't show what his knee DID look like a couple days ago when you could barely see his knee cap! We have to wait for the swelling to go down before most doctors will do anything so until then I guess we will just have to wait and wAiT and WAIT.

Most of you are probably thinking this happened because Matt was making some awesome play and someone hit/fell on him as he was making the game winning shot. However, I hate to tell you this all happened because of old age. Who would have thought that a wide open simple lay-up would have done this damage. Matt was going up for a lay-up when his knee just buckled. No one touched him, no one hard fouled nothing...just a knee giving out. Matt has informed me SEVERAL times that if his knee wouldn't have given out "that bucket would have gone in and we would have only been down by 2"

All in the name of basketball...

BeFoRe the basketball game Matt looked like this...

NoW he looks like this....
And he uses tHeSe...

And he WaTcHeS this...
It CoNvEnIeNtLy happened on the FiRsT weekend of March Madness...HmMmM.

They think it is a sprained knee but if it doesn't start getting better in a week or two he has to go in for an MRI. We are hoping it's just a sprain. Get better soon Matt!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Julianne made a birthday breakfast on Sunday for me! Lucky me, she even used the nice china. Thanks Julianne for the yUmMy breakfast! **btw Julianne, I am NOT posting the pictures you took of me in my pj's right after I woke up.

Happe Birthde Sharin!

Sunday was my birthday (28!) and Joey drew me this picture. I never knew I had such a striking body shape! It is a picture of me in my house. He didn't have any help with the spelling. I think he did a great job. Thanks Joey!

*Just a side note...Joey plays a mean game of dodgeball on the Wii. Julianne and Joey whooped me and Laura several times. I am pretty sure that 80% of the time Joey is talking/thinking about the Wii. I wish had a camera during sacrament meeting on Sunday. Joey was practicing his boxing moves. It was awesome! The other 20% of the time he is talking about soccer, BYU, baseball, basketball and any other sport you can imagine.

Other St. Geroge Activities...

Joey's Soccer Game
Sam, Julianne, and Laura

This Picture isn't from the game we went to...but you get the idea :)

The boys did this...

While the Girls did this...shopping for home decor

No pictures but...

Saturday night we ordered pizza and watched both the Jazz and BYU LOSE! That was a bummer but we are excited to watch the cougs in the NCAA tourney!

SPECTRUM 10K

The RunnersMatt, Sharon, and Laura

We went to down to St. George last weekend to run in the Spectrum 10k and to of course visit Joe and Julianne. We all did great. It was a PR for each of us! It was a nice day and beautiful run. Joe, Jullianne, Joey and Sam were nice enough to come out and see us run. Thanks guys!

Oh the things I could buy...

What I could do with $1000
1. Update my wardrobe
2. Buy new decorations for our house
3. Buy airline tickets to Hawaii
4. Save it
5. Buy another computer (or part of one)
6. Buy Matt's golf clubs that he wants
7. Buy me some some new golf clubs
8. Buy a flat screen tv for our bedroom
9. Buy a road bike
10. Buy a new snowboard AND some new snow pants
OR
I could just spend $1000 in car repairs... and that is just what I did. I am thinking of getting a bus pass. I hate cars...grr!

StRaWbErRiEs!

Another reason why I love this time of year! All the yummy fruit is starting to show up. Hopefully it will counteract all the Easter candy I have been eating lately. I picked these up at Costco and they have been De-Li-Cious!

~SPriNG feVEr~

I have got 100% SPRING FEVER! Too bad I can't ditch work like I used to ditch school this time of year ;) I love this time of year when we spring our clocks forward and the sun sets later. We celebrated this great day by dusting off the grill and having a barbecue. It was also our annual kick off for our Sunday walks! Something I always look forward to when the weather is nice.

Matchy-Matchy

We watched the Jazz beat the Mavericks Monday night at the ESA. We also got to wear our MaTcHiNg shirts...we are now tRuE Jazz fans. It was an awesome game. Unfortunately, Kirilenko was hurt during the first quarter with sprained hip. Hopefully he will be back soon.

Time for New Snow Pants?

Anyone who snowboards knows that you spend a lot of time on your back side...not necessarily from falling but rather to strap in your boot to your binding after you get off the lift. So, after a great day on the slopes we headed to the car, took off our snow gear and headed inside to use the restroom before heading home. Matt informs me as we are getting in the car to LEAVE...this is AFTER we had walked all around Sundance...that my backside was all wet, right in a prime location. I did tell him he was about 15 minutes too late telling me! Apparently my 10 year old snowboarding pants are not too waterproof anymore. At least I know I gave some people a good laugh at my own expense :)

sPrInG sKiInG!

I LoVe spring skiing! Thursday was a beautiful day so we decided to make the most of it headed up to Sundance. It was a great day...warm, no lines, and the snow wasn't too bad on the back side.

It was a bLaSt!!!
