They're Engaged!
The Jazz did beat the Spurs. Too bad I missed the first half because I was so busy watching Mark and Jana waiting for the Jazz Bear to do his thing. The second half of the game was great! It was very exciting and intense down to the end.
Why oh why...
Matt and I went to Market Street Grill for his birthday dinner last weekend. I really like Market Street Grill...the sourdough bread is good, the fish is delicious, the Diet Doke is tasty (I promise all Diet Coke is NOT created equal), dessert is yummy but why, oh why is it the onion rings I love?! I don't even eat onion rings often. Most the time they don't even sound good, but when I know we are going to Market Street Grill I salivate uncontrollably for the onion rings.
Things that make you go hmm...

It's Birthweek Not Birthday!
Matt has had quite the week! My family gets together once a month for a big Family Home Evening. I decided since it was the day after Matt's birthday I would surprise him with a birthday cake. Well the surprise part didn't work so well since he opened the trunk, but we were still able to have cake.
I failed to mention...
Mike forgot his running shorts so they had to make a quick trip to Wal-Mart early in the morning. We are all glad he ran with shorts! I won't mention what Renae forgot last year when we ran.
(How is that Renae? lol)

Texas Road House
Joe and Julianne's Bed and Breakfast
This is the best place to stay in St. George. You get your own spacious bedroom and big bathroom, covered parking, and great food. Entertainment is provided by Joey who will challenge you to any game on the Wii and the only payment he asks for is for some gum. Julianne is the tour guide who will take you on a tour of the city and hit the best places to shop (Krumpets) and take you to the best places for drinks (44oz of diet coke for 44 cents!) and Joe who provides great company and lets us invade his home to stay.
Thanks Julianne and Joe we always look forward to visiting...see you in March (have we told you about that race yet?)
Happy Birthday Matt!
Today is Matt's 28th birthday! He spent his birthday driving home from St. George and recovering from his 1st half marathon. I am patiently waiting for Julianne to send me all the pictures so I can post about it...hint, hint :) Since we were out of town this weekend, we will be going to Market Street Grill next weekend to celebrate.
Happy Birthday Matt! Love you!

It was Awesome!
Matt and I decided to ditch work today and do something much more fun. We went to Sundance and ejoyed the day skiing/snowboarding. Matt's the skiier and I have converted to snowboarding...this conversion took place about 10 years ago and I haven't turned back. It was a lot of fun with great snow thanks to the past few snow storms. We played hard all day and came home EXHAUSTED! We both agreed we need to do this more often!

Stupid post but...

Warning: Only read if you are looking for some serious time to waste. After reading you may have wished you had those 2 minutes of your life back. Think of how I felt after I spent 20 minutes writing it!
Nothing worse than...
2. Running 11 miles on a treadmill
So when you put them together. Running 11 miles on treadmill, without an ipod, while watching Star Trek...well you can imagine.
Me, Laura and Matt are all training for a half marathon. This is my first winter training for anything other than a 10k. Partly because I am not a big fan of running in the cold or the snow so all the training I do in the winter has been on a treadmill. This year we decided to be brave and give it a try. So far it hasn't been too bad. We have been able to run all of our long runs outside by dressing warm. However, last Saturday it was snowing so much that running outside just wasn't an option. After stewing about what we were going to do we decided to go to Novell's corporate gym and watch Italian Job while running. Well once we left to go to the gym I realized I had forgotten my ipod.
Matt: "Do you want to turn around and get it"
Me: "No, we will be watching Italian Job the whole time so it will be fine"
I didn't think anyone would be at a corporate gym on a Saturday so watching my own movie wouldn't be a problem, right? Well, I was wrong. There were a few people there but that wasn't a big deal. The problem was one guy who had gotten there right before us and put on Star Trek! What!? Who watches Star Trek? So I ended up having to watch Star Trek for over an hour. Finally after I had 8 miles behind me I was able to watch 25 minutes of Italian Job. All three of us completed the 11 miles...I wouldn't recommend doing it on a treadmill especially while watching Star Trek. For our 12 mile run next Saturday we are hoping for better weather.
Apparently this was very traumatic for me. Why else would I blog about it?

Go, Jazz, Go !
I love Jazz games! Matt and I saw the Jazz beat the 76ers last night. It was kind of funny to see the tension between Gordan Giricek and the Jazz players. Kyle Korver did great hitting some clutch free throws. I think the Jazz got the better end of that deal!
take our picture so we took it ourselves.
We had to take like 10 pictures and when we finally
got this one Matt said "That's enough" It's the
best I have
