We had a nice time in Illinois at Matt's mothers funeral. It was a great tribute to her and lots of memories were shared, it's hard not to take a ride down memory lane...
This is probably the last picture of Matt with both
his parents. April 2006 - BYU Graduation

Matt's mom was known for her large well planned out garden
When we were out there in May we took a picture of the plot
of where she spent many hours -- Matt tells me this is a "scaled" back
version. It once was much larger

Matt was able to visit his mom quite a bit in the
last year but this was the last picture of them together

It was a really quick trip since the funeral was on Saturday in Illinois and the Burial was Monday morning at the Santaquin Cemetery in Utah. Matt's parents are great people and it's comforting to know that they are together again.
At the viewing
The note book in front is years of history about her garden...

Sounds like Matt had an amazing Mom. Thanks for sharing and we are sorry for your loss. F.A.F.
I just wanted to send my condolences to you guys.
What wonderful parents you have Matt. Sorry that they aren't here with you but I'm sure they still watch over you.
Hope you all are well. Sending love.
What a nice tribute. Matt's parents are such great people. I am so glad you posted these nice pictures. They are really tender and sweet.
Sharon so sorry to hear that your mother-in-law passed away. My heart breaks for Matt that he lost both his parents in less than a year and a half, and at such a young age to lose your parents. What a sweet post.
What an amazing woman. I'm glad you wrote something for those of us who didn't know her. Our prayers are with you & Matt.
